Export outputs
Exporting lets you move EtherAssist work into review, approval, ticketing, or delivery workflows.
Before you begin
- Confirm that your EtherAssist account has access to the Using EtherAssist area.
- Check that your role or subscription includes the capability described in this article.
- Gather any source files, tenant details, or configuration values needed for the task.
Export types
| Output | Common formats |
|---|---|
| Conversation | Markdown, DOCX, PDF, text |
| Generated document | DOCX, PDF, Markdown |
| Script | PowerShell or text |
| Table or report | CSV, DOCX, PDF |
| Diagram | PNG, SVG, or editable diagram format where available |
| Multi-document workflow pack | ZIP containing one document per generated item |
Export a conversation

- Open the conversation.
- Select Export.
- Choose the format.
- Choose whether to include the full conversation or selected content.
- Generate the export.
- Open the exported file and check formatting before sharing it.
Expected result: the exported file contains the selected content in the requested format.
Export a document or report

- Generate or open the output.
- Confirm headings, tables, diagrams, and lists render correctly in EtherAssist.
- Select the export format.
- Download the file.
- Review the file in the target application, such as Word, a PDF viewer, or a spreadsheet tool.
Tip: Use DOCX for editable review, PDF for controlled sharing, Markdown for technical handoff, and CSV for structured data.
Export from Agent Mode
Workflow actions can create downloadable artifacts as part of the run.
- Add an Action step after the step that produces the output.
- Choose the export format.
- Point the action to the source step output.
- Run the workflow.
- Download the artifact from the workflow output.
Expected result: the workflow run creates the export automatically, rather than relying on a manual browser export.
Export multi-document packs
Use a workflow or Agent task when one run should produce several documents.
- Configure the task to generate separate documents.
- Use one document per control, policy, or requested item.
- Add an export action for a ZIP pack where available.
- Review the generated file names before sharing the ZIP.
Before sharing
- Remove customer data that is not required.
- Check generated policy or compliance wording with the accountable owner.
- Confirm scripts are non-destructive or have been reviewed before execution.
- Keep evidence packs and audit exports within the intended organisation.

Tips
- Keep prompts, names, and configuration values specific to the task you are performing.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| The feature is not visible | Confirm your role, subscription, and organisation policy allow access to Export outputs. |
| A setting or action does not save | Refresh the page, sign out and back in, then retry the smallest change first. |
| The result differs from the screenshot | Check whether your tenant has a different role, region, policy, or subscription configuration. |
