User token quota

User token quota controls help administrators limit usage for individual users where the organisation uses metered or quota-based controls.

Before you begin

  • Sign in with an administrator account.
  • Review current usage before changing a quota.
  • Confirm whether the organisation uses metered or quota-based controls.

When to use quotas

  • Control costs for trial or pilot users.
  • Set lower limits for occasional users.
  • Increase limits for power users or service desk teams.
  • Investigate unexpected usage before changing a plan.

Configure a quota

  1. Open Administration.
  2. Go to Manage Users.
  3. Select the user.
  4. Set the usage limit.
  5. Save and monitor reporting.

Expected result: the user's quota is updated and reflected in future usage checks.

Review quota impact

Use Usage Reporting to understand trends before changing quotas. If a user hits a limit unexpectedly, review their role, workload, and model usage.

Tips

  • Tell the user when a quota change may affect current work.
  • Use Usage Reporting to compare the user's need with their current limit.
  • Increase limits for roles that regularly generate longer documents or run workflows.
