Before you begin
- Confirm which topics are visible in your account.
- Use General for broad tasks that do not need specialist grounding.
- Use Auto when EtherAssist should choose from your visible topics.
- Use Topics when you know the specialist area.
- Add source files when the answer must use your organisation's policies, exports, diagrams, or evidence.
Choose the right topic
- Identify the product, platform, framework, or output type.
- Choose Auto if the request is clear but the topic is not obvious.
- Choose Topics when you know the area, such as Intune, PowerShell, ISO 27001, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Include the version, portal area, tenant context, error text, or control reference.
- Ask for the output format you need, such as a checklist, policy, procedure, remediation plan, script, or evidence request.
Expected result: EtherAssist has enough context to select useful grounding and produce an answer that matches the product area and output type.
Tips
- Keep prompts narrow when a topic covers several products.
- State whether the result is for an administrator, service desk analyst, auditor, customer, or management audience.
- For compliance content, say whether you need a draft policy, implementation procedure, control narrative, evidence checklist, or audit response.
- For Microsoft cloud content, include the portal, workload, permission model, and any Graph or Azure API context.
