Domain registration lookup

Use domain registration lookup to review public domain registration information.

Before you begin

  • Confirm the domain is in scope for your ownership, renewal, or troubleshooting work.
  • Use the registered domain, not a full URL or subdomain unless the registrar record requires it.
  • Remember that registrant information may be privacy-redacted.

Look up a domain

  1. Open chat or a supported tool-enabled workflow.
  2. Enable Actions if required.
  3. Enter the domain name.
  4. Ask EtherAssist to summarise registrar, status, nameservers, and renewal signals.
  5. Review whether any output should be redacted before sharing.

Examples:

Look up public registration information for example.com.
Check the RDAP details for example.com and summarise registrar and expiry information.

Results to review

Depending on the registry and available public data, EtherAssist may return:

  • registrar;
  • registration and expiry dates;
  • nameservers;
  • public status flags;
  • privacy-redacted registrant information where applicable.
